How joining works
Apply
Send us your details using the enquiry form.
Checks and a call
Complete our checks and a call or interview.
Your profile
We set up your profile. When a client's needs match it, we introduce you, and you choose whether to accept.
Already hold an Enhanced DBS?
Many carers do. There is no fee to join LCH Care, and you choose which introductions to accept.
Working live-in
You should have your own room, a daily break, and proper rest, set out in the client's agreement. The client provides your food while you work in their home, or pays you a food allowance of £30 a week. If a client needs help through the night, tell us so the arrangement can be changed.
Your status
You work as a self-employed carer. You are not employed by LCH Care or by the client, and you are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance. GOV.UK has guidance on working for yourself.
